Each member of our skilled nursing team provides compassionate and quality care to each of our residents. We have our Medical Director and/or CNP on site seven days per week that providing a tailored plan of action including restorative nursing, wound care, diabetes management and dietary programs. We’ll work towards your recovery goals in a healthy and controlled manner.

Wound care & management


Learning to cope with chronic, non-healing wounds can be both frustrating and time consuming. Our team of professionals at Presidential Post Acute will work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan that is focused on improved healing and quality of life. Whether you are receiving your wound care as a resident or on an outpatient basis, we offer a comprehensive approach to wound management that uses the traditional clinical practices as well as the latest clinical tools available.

  • Infusion therapy including TPN and antibiotics

Diabetes management


Our experienced nurses provide help with all aspects of managing diabetes including:

  • Blood glucose monitoring
  • Insulin administration and tracking
  • Exercise planning
  • Menu planning, education and more.

Restorative nursing program


We seek to maximize the quality of life for our long-term care population, who require a specialized restorative program. This service is included in the room and board fee.

Our therapy team and skilled nursing staff develop individualized treatment plans for patient care in the areas of:

  • Ambulation
  • Range of motion
  • Activities of daily living
  • Positioning and alignment
  • Skin integrity and wound management
  • Contracture management
  • Bowel and bladder training
  • Rehabilitative and social dining
  • Strengthening and restraint reduction
  • Weekly and monthly height and weight monitoring

Respiratory Therapy


Respiratory therapy services help to assist with routine care and maintenance of chronic diseases such as COPD/Emphysema or asthma. We also provide pulmonary rehabilitation, helping your lungs to regain more breathing capacity after a surgery or traumatic event.

Treatment focus may include:

  • Managing artificial airways
  • Breathing techniques and relaxation
  • Diagnostic tests including measuring lung capacity
  • Education regarding the use of support equipment such as ventilators
  • Acute and chronic Tracheostomy

IV Therapy


From monitoring drug effectiveness to maintaining the right fluid balance, our highly trained IV specialists and dedicated nurses work closely with our patient’s personal physicians to maximize comfort and speed recovery.

IV treatments may include:

  • Hydration and medications
  • Administration of antibiotics
  • Nutritional support
  • Blood based treatments due to anaemia or hemophilia

Dietary program


Our dietary program is designed to meet the dietary and physician ordered needs of each patient in our care. Our dietitian works with attending physicians to provide the proper balance of nutrients and consistency for each individual. Dietary also conducts regular assessments to address the needs of patients with weight loss, wounds or weight gain. Our menus are planned to be satisfying, nutritional and offer variety. Special supplements, nutritional snacks and a variety of fluids are offered in addition to meals. We are happy to provide guest trays for visiting family members.

To ensure that each patient is receiving the proper nutritional needs we offer:

  • Meals to meet specific dietary and therapeutic needs
  • Monitoring of nutritional deficits, fluid & electrolyte balances
  • Nutrition counseling for outpatients with nutrition-related health problems.
