My name is Med.Ret. Dr. M.R. Bourbon, Phe.ed, Med.Ret Army E-5. I would like to report that this older smaller nursing home facility is absolutely fantastic. The staff is kind and dedicated to their patients; like nurses Rhonda and Kim, and aides dawn and Debbie, and the rest of the staff that’s has gone above and beyond to take care of me these 3 months. The food is by far better than any medical facilities i have stayed at, delicious. Besides a few issues with a few individuals, which we worked out using de-escalation we came to a quick resolution by informing any complaints to head nurse Austin. This facility is perfect for vets, we are recognized and appreciated with our flags displayed in the dinning room, and mos displays in the lobby. They include our 501c3s and put on special events to recognize us. I couldn’t ask for a better home away from home. This may be a short term stay, eventually this will be my chosen home. What would make this home better is internet. There is none, but they are working on that as well. I highly recommend this facility.

Never send people here. They will block loved ones from visiting. I got blocked from seeing my fiancé. She is in rough health. She was supposed to have therapy to get her better but that was stopped. This nursing home is a horrible place. I give them a 0% rating

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!!!!!! The staff is rude and punishes patients when they are mad at them by not giving them their medications, not making their beds and not coming in to check in on them throughout the day. We brought my mother here because we thought it would be a good place for her to recover. They are doing what they can to hold her here for the money from the insurance and because she asked to be somewhat comfortable and not completely freeze while she was here they stopped coming in and checking on her and because she had an appointment one morning and missed her morning medicine the nurse refused to give it to her when she got back. The nurse was asked at least three times to give my mom her medicine by other employees and the nurse never brought it in to her.

Front desk people are rude! They have no energy to talk to people and even picking up the phone. The social services never answered their phone! You can’t get ahold of anybody here Response to the note from the facility: I’ll call and give me attitude again or transfer to a direct voicemail!? You have jokes! Not wasting a time 😂

Do not send your loved ones here they almost killed my family member in 48 hours they couldn’t tell that she lost all motor senses and speech. The nurses yelled at the lady next door for falling out of her wheel chair and so much more I am appalled

I would recommend this facility to anyone. The whole entire staff went Above and Beyond to make sure that my Dad was as comfortable as possible ,considering the circumstances. They were very Compassionate not only with him but myself as well. The staff made it so much easier for me to leave knowing he was in great hands.

Staff is very snotty and rude, shouldn’t be nurses in the slightest! Wouldn’t even send my dog here to be cared for. Never in my life have been treated so poorly by medical workers. Do not send your family here! I will never let my grandma go back to this place!

This place is lacking in patient care. Not enough aides to care for the patients and some act so snotty of helping. My husband was taken down for a shower (he is paralyzed) a nurse and aid dropped him not once but twice and never made an incident report on it. Patient’s clothes that they bring in are lost, even when we placed a note in his room, that we would do laundry. My sister was there after her open heart surgery and the care was lacking. She had serious issues with her heart/BP/oxygen. Other sister wanted the nurse to call ambulance to take Bev to ER and nurse said “If you want her to go, then you call.” HELLO, the nurse should have acknowledged the issue and acted on it immediately. This places needs serious help since caring for people that need help. I removed my husband from this place and I am currently caring for him at home. I personally would never recommend this facility to anyone needing nursing care.

Presidential is the premier spot to receive rehabilitation in Marion. The team is incredible, from top to bottom I’ve been impressed with every department. My grandpa was here for a rehab stay after experiencing a fall. He’s better than ever. They are 5 star CMS rated for a reason. Would highly recommend.

I am/was a resident of this facility We are staying at Presidential Post Acute. Everybody is so friendly. It’s not like you’re in a hospital. It’s one big family. The rooms are too small. Other than that, it’s a nice place. We have bingo three times a week, and that’s a lot of fun. There’s always something going on during the day. We watch movies. We have crafts and cooking class. You don’t feel like you’re in a nursing home. Sometimes the food is burnt or not quite done. They could use more staff.

Treated my grandmothe very poorly. Even though she is making the required monthly payments, they are still harassing her with legal threats about paying it in full. Paid 6k out of a 12k bill in 6 months. Not sure what they expect but, to harass a 95 year old who making full payments on top of the poor care is really unnecessary.

Presidential Post Acute is a great facility for your loved ones. The staff is very caring and takes the extra time to make sure all needs are met. The therapy department is amazing. There are always activities to participate in.

Completely disgusted by staff Very rude people not all are rude and disgusting but more than not They really should check into who people are before hiring them nobody should be double dosed in 15 minutes in a nursing home you should have your communication skills on a better level very sad Also some of my mother’s belongings came up missing after she left their nursing home So watch your belongings closely . Also dropped off a few things to help with the rehabilitation department because they were lacking insanely and never even got a thank you very rude nurses came to the door acted like I was bothering them for giving them free items for the rehabilitation department Very sad they are still be open with the lousy care that they give to people .

There is not enough workers for the number of patients in the facility. The patients are not being cared for like they should be. My mother is a resident if it was up to me she would be out of there. No respect for patient privacy and you can’t visit without being asked who you are, where you live, where you work. It saddens me that another patient got yelled at for pushing the call button for another patient. I inquired and found out all was true. It was in the system the patient had fell out of bed multiple times and no one placed a order for fall mats. When I asked why ,the nurse said “we are too short staffed. ” To most of the workers I personally met it is just a job they don’t care whether they do it appropriately and don’t care what a visitor over hears. It breaks my heart our elders deserve much more respect!!! Mom died she went code blue they did nothing they decided days later to take her to hospital she died from sepsis. I can not tell you how much I can’t stand this place booted my sister because they knew mom needed her so she didn’t see mom for 2 months yeah okay so by then mom was not mom. Thank you presidential for not doing your job. And their face book lies and their ads are lies there has been. Complaints they try to hide it all.
